I’ve just learned that the Gaeilge word “bím/bíonn” directly translates to “do be” which when used in a sentence in English would be more like AAVE. I love linguistics, it’s so interesting!!
Ex. Bíonn siad i nÉireann gach samhradh - They do be in Ireland every summer.
