The old Ixchel. It is a blue circular yoke sweater with a dense pattern of yellow stars and a central band of moon phases. It is lying on a cream blanket with the front side showing. You can see where the armholes would be and there is about about 3” of work completed beyond that. It is no more - now a giant blue yarn ball and a pile of yellow wool noodles.
The start of the Astraeus sweater. It is basically a neck hole and about 4-5” of work laid out in a circle. It is the same blue yarn as used in the Ixchel, but the stars are less densely arranged and now in a more subtle silvery grey colour.
A closer view of the new jumper showing the star pattern, it’s a bit scrunched up as my bigger knitting cable is on another project, but nevermind.
🧶 News - The #Ixchel is frogged.
I think I whined mostly on Threads but I hated all of it, and the straw was discovering that the blue was running into the yellow.
So I have started an #Astraeus instead, with a silver grey accent yarn. Already a 1000 times happier with it 😁
