August 31: Where in my world would I like to live?
I would definitely want to live in Hinam . . . Just not during the inciting incident of the plot. 🤣
Hinam is in the middle of a rainforest and is led by conservationists. It lives mostly in harmony with the environment.
#AugustWorldbuilders 31: where in your world would you like to live?
I'd either like to live in Tavarria or Celestine. Tavarria is on the coast, so I could go swimming every day, but Celestine has a piece of my heart for other reasons.

Day 1
#Tirial
Saga of the Misbegotten takes place during the season of Blossomcrest, which is analogous to Late Spring.
Prompts for August Worldbuilders writing game. Day 31 is Where in your world would you like to live?
31. Lucifer lives on an island that lies in a liminal space between the Mediterranean and Hell. Closer to the former because obvi. He has basically every book, artifacts from the beginning of humanity, and any food you want. Also the sea on all sides. #AugustWorldbuilders #writingcommunity #writesky

Now to try and clean these guys up, too.
Day 22 - Not really. Clergy inspired by the words of the Lightlord capable of using magic can learn spells taught by the Church, but that's more coincidental.
Day 23 - Those are a thing, yes. Mostly incantations, spoken within the mind.
#AugustWorldbuilders D29:
Animals. Be it foxes or wolves, I've dug into what I could for both of them. It wasn't always easy to find reliable info on the things I needed to know.
#AugustWorldbuilders D28:
I still use MSWord 2003. I've tried other things, and I actually find them TOO complex. Too many bells and whistles, I get over whelmed.
The only other thing I use is Aeon Timelines for, well, timelines! It helps me keep my dates straight in my sci-fi.
#AugustWorldbuilders 31
As much as I love the southern Empire, I could never stand the heat. I'd do better on the northern continent, and I have many options. I really like the wood elven capital, a city in the treetops, shaped from the trees themselves. Both elves and fairies live there.

I'd probably be most comfortable living and working in a magical library or wizardly university. I despise academia, but if it were run differently than US academia and had the latest magical technology for indoor plumbing and everyone shut up at the library, I could be happy.

Nowhere. The cities are nice even with the rest of the world being cursed, but I’m not the sort who wants to go to a fantasy world. Force me to decide? Guess I’d go to the main city, tentatively named Highbasin (I might change it).
I could find work there writing popular entertainment or as a 20th-21st century history consultant. (And the robust social safety net would be a nice change. :)
And that's the last of of the #AugustWorldBuilders prompts! Thanks again to @kiraofthewind for hosting these! It's been fun answering them
A series of worldbuilding prompts, labeled "#AugustWorldbuilders hosted by Kira of the Wind". The prompt for day 30 reads "Where in your world would you like to live?"
#AugustWorldbuilders by @kiraofthewind.com Day 31!
Of all the places we've seen in Thoughtless & Careless, I'd like to live on Mars. Probably in Bradbury Point, in an apartment with a nice view of the Valles Marineris.
#AugustWorldbuilders
31. Absolutely nowhere, this world is genuinely a nightmare and I would not like to live anywhere in it whatsoever. Gangs, disease, poverty, VAMPIRISTS. Could I not just develop a nice place to live? Doesn't exist here. I get isekai'd I am dying instantly, it's the only way out.

- Demon King Daughter is our world, so /shrug, but I HAVE always wanted to visit Japan! (Can't really afford it...) #solwd
Day 31: #AugustWorldbuilders
In Ungovernables, there is a village about two hours away from Tearhan. It's quiet, self-sufficient, and hidden away from the rest of the workd (because it's full of Ungovernables).
I'd like to live there.

#AugustWorldbuilders #WritingCommunity #booksky Day 31
With so many locales in Nixtral, it's hard to select just one. For me, it'd be a tie between these thriving cities:
1) Featherbrook in the Grand Duchy of Livoria (Alezon)
2) Reyfell in the Kingdom of Hilderic (Feswili)
#AugustWorldbuilders Day 31
Oh, I'd be up in Moka'Durand with Durandios and Arista. It's peaceful up there and he has a nice house. Plus hedge mazes!
#AugustWorldBuilders day 31
If I could live anywhere in all of Yenzuz, I would like to live in Yilliah.
Temperate forests, a government that values freedom, schooling is free, and healthcare is not free, but it's cheap.
Yilliah has many different races and magical defenses. It's diverse and free
#AugustWorldBuilders day 30
Rabbit hole research topics
Linguistics and conlang stuff. Also, ships and age of sail. Symbology and witchcraft also.
31. Where in your world would you like to live?

31. Feinzad or Rhyna. Kandeshul has the right climate and is also moving in interesting directions politically and culturally, but it's too seismically active.
August worldbuilders day 31 where in your world would you like to live?
#AugustWorldbuilders
Oof… Im no good for ships and space stations. I’d have to pick a planet. Avalon is very nice, but a little quaint and out of the way. It might be the best choice for me, unless I create a world with a lot more beaches and bigger cities.

I haven't even written it yet.
There's going to be a cabin near a river, south of the deserts, north of the tropics with a nearby town. The cabin won't have electricity yet and the land will need clearing, but it's a peaceful place.

There's nowhere in the new timeline that someone from our world would feel comfortable, let alone safe. Too many differences, including with humanity itself.
#AugustWorldbuilders
31: Where in your world would you like to live?
Um, nowhere? My worlds are fucking dangerous. Earth might suck at times but at least I'm reasonably safe

Likely in Maskaab, Yopa post book 2 when the military gets out. It's somewhat temperate, but on the cooler side. probably like some of the northern tree filled areas of Canada.

31: So, uh, Karnassia (co-created with @jmaxwell-author.bsky.social) would be a pretty unpleasant place to have to live. If I had to choose somewhere, it would probably be the Republic of Freeport or the Nations of Avenad or Cyra (as the most politically "free" locations), but..

#AugustWorldbuilders 31. Where in your world would I like to live.
Sordan. It is one of the great Cities. It has institutes of learning! 👩🎓 Arts! It has a lovely climate ☀️and it's safe. And I'd have easy access to the Rill for travel to other parts of the Triempery. 😀

Day 31
The Empire's capital city, Kadmía, is honestly a nice place to live. It's not ideal if the Inquisition sees you as a threat, but it's not hard to stay on their good side if you're not promoting sedition.

31. Where would I like to live?
A historically significant, progressive city in a moderately liberal country. One with excellent public transport, fast internet and pristine nature within driving distance.
...
Dear City of Cape Town; got to work on that public transport, eh?
Prompts for August Worldbuilders writing game. Day 30 is What topic have you gone down rabbit holes to research for worldbuilding?
30. OK, so the way my brain works is that asking this question is 100% the code to delete everything I've ever done from my recall. I've been learning Norwegian specifically to help develop the Jatkuvan language, though. So that's fun. #AugustWorldbuilders #writingcommunity #writesky
