Evidence of ancient tree-climbing 'drop crocs' found in Australia - BBC News Scientists say the crocodiles hunted like leopards by climbing trees and killing prey below.

Kinda sad that we don’t have drop crocs anymore in Australia.
Maybe the drop bears killed them?

My pond is going strong. Saw this chubby tadpole out basking at the surface. Even better, there were about five tadpoles deeper down swimming about. No legs visible, so I wonder if this taddy is growing slow or maybe I saw a fast developer last time.

Little Pied Cormorant (Microcarbo melanoleucos):

🌊 No Waterproof Feathers! – Unlike ducks, their feathers aren’t waterproof, which helps them dive deeper but means they must dry their wings after every swim.

Okay, I can do a before and after shot of my tadpoles now that they've come out to play. First pic is from when they first hatched back in October. They're growing so well.
