About 25 cm 10” tall, pale grey underside with darker dapples - darker grey to olive tail (out of view here) and wings, there’s a yellowish patch on the wings too.
Black cap on top of head extending to long sideburns - a stricking bright yellow patch of skin behind the black eye - like eyeshadow
The face between the eyes is white. The beak is bright yellow - a sharply pointed beak for poking into banksia flowers - and handbags.
Feet are a peach colour

My knitting companion this afternoon. A young noisy miner (Manorina melanocephala) - very common here in a Sydney, a honeyeater. S/he was very noisy and bold - I was at a picnic table therefore I should have food. I only had my knitting & that was just - unacceptable! #birdlife #australianbird
