a bike bridge over the creek/river. it's a metal through-truss type of bridge, which makes it seem a lot older than I think it is. I suspect this design was inspired by a (wooden) truss bridge the Pacific Coast Railway had around here, which outlasted the railway by many decades.
When you get down towards #AvilaBeach there are a couple of these cool truss bridges you can take of San Luis Obispo Creek (this looks like a big river, but it's just a tidal estuary; upstream it's really just a creek).
