I finally finished watching #AyashiiPartner, aka #SuspiciousPartnerJapan, and can confirm this version is a disappointment. Despite the leads’ chemistry, the story was never properly developed.

3. Good plot, but much less detailed than the kdrama.

I thought #AyashiiPartner was ending this week (MDL has it listed as a 10 episodes jdrama) but Viki tells me I have, at least, one more to go.

And considering how episode 10 developed, I am not happy about it. This drama really is sinking.

#AyashiiPartner had a strong start as an adaptation but it slowly lost its charm. We are one episode away from the finale, the comedy is long gone, and there’s no build up for the romance nor the murder case.

I’m dying to watch #AyashiiPartner, but 1 episode release per week will test my patience, but I really like the #YuseiYagi in #MyBeautifulMan.

Every week I am pleasantly surprised at how #AyashiiPartner manages to adapt the #SuspiciousPartner story and development into the rhythm, style, running time and character development of jdramas. You can tell the people who adapted it paid painstakingly attention to detail in order to translate it.

Props to #YagiYusei for the way he is portraying Tateishi in the jdrama version of #SuspiciousPartner. It’s clear that he has watched the original by how he’s got some of the mannerisms of the original but still gave it his own spin. I really like it!
