Last Sunday, Jon and I took two old friends of the late conservationist Randy Stoltmann (1962-1994) out to see the Cheewhat Giant, the largest western red cedar on the planet. Shirley(l), Deanne, and Randy were early members of the long defunct Heritage forests Society in the 80s.
