Hearing KYJ calling him with an endearing "Mr.Choi" is giving me a warm #BackstreetRookie flashback. 😅

Kim Min-kyu is such a gem with fantastic smile. From #Signal, to #BackstreetRookie, to #BusinessProposal, I don't think I've had any #kdrama where he's in that I dislike yet.

Arguably KYJ most complete role to showcased her range (action, romance, comedy, tragedy in one #kdrama).

The fact that I knew her from #BackstreetRookie first where she played a chaebol made this scene even better. 😅

#WelcometoSamdalri triggered my obsession to Shin Hye-sun and responsible for pushing me more towards #kdrama, this gem will forever hold a special place in my hall-of-fame next to #BackstreetRookie, #Doubt, and #MyMister.

Without spoiling, there's a scene where the mother of the family accepted the FL into her own family over dinner and that hits me quite hard.

#BackstreetRookie has a lot of these scenes and the #kdrama did it really well. It's as if we're watching a real family and not actors in play.

#BackstreetRookie was such an underrated hidden gem of a #kdrama (I admit this was the drama that started my obsession with JCW and I randomly picked it up because of KYJ) that has one of the best familial love scenes ever.

Glad to see more people are enjoying it.

Yeah I don't mind those. #BackstreetRookie main couple was also 11 years apart, and she fell for him during one of their taekwondo practice. But they didn't actually become a couple till she's 21.

I'm ok with that kind of age gap in my #kdrama.

Bahahahaha! wow...I'm so glad I wasn't around this fandom when this aired then. #BackstreetRookie wasn't just one of my favourite all-time #kdrama but it also introduced me to Ji Chang-wook ( I already knew who KYJ then), so it'll forever have a special place in my hall-of-fame drama.

Correction, now I remember that #BackstreetRookie did use this scene trope (minus the salty joke, probably out of respect to one of the best mother characters in any #kdrama).

Such an underrated drama, give me another Kim You-jung & Ji Chang-wok pairing and that's a hill I'll kill on.

Really only started watching #kdrama in June last year since I was in need of a romcom; So Netflix suggested #BackstreetRookie as everyone knew who Kim Yoo-jung is.

Then the rest is history.

The kdrama main story was nothing to write home about but this OST is absolutely on point.

And I think this is only my second time ever that I heard a kdrama OST in full English since #BackstreetRookie.

Also helped that I actually really adore his character's arc there.

Watched 1 and a half episodes of #BackstreetRookie and now I'm dropping it. I love both leads but I don't like the characters in this show. I like the main female character but no one else. Usually a supporting character could keep me watching but there's zero of them I like.

I should really thank JCW as I first watched him on #BackstreetRookie, then followed him to #WelcometoSamdalRi. Watched Shin Hye-sun and the obsession with her starts.

Same reason I had no issue with the 9 years age gap for the #BackstreetRookie couple. She's 22 when they started dating in that #kdrama.

There’s was SO MUCH outrage at the time because the age gap between the leads was huge, and their kiss-not-kiss was an absolute wink to the audience and critics and I loved it

#BackstreetRookie and #WelcometoSamdalRi were my first two that got me into #KDRama in the first place.

I don't know about you but my #KDrama rabbit hole is now at the stage where I need to have one of their OSTs playing on my phone to fall asleep.
