51 eps that didn’t really feel like 51 eps.

This was great & almost a 5/5 except the pacing was off in the last couple eps.

JCW as a loser king in love🙂‍↕️, HJW ate. This might be my fave sageuk I’ve watched so far.

#EmpressKi is from 2013. It is about an orphan from Joseon who rises to become queen of China. During that time she is loved by two different kings. So many twists and turns and plot shifts. And #HaJiWon and #JiChangWook both looking 🔥

Yes yes #EmpressKi stunning. Forgot that one. Big time favourite. But again unusual for Kdrama to be so long. Do watch #Haechi. It's fab. I've rewatched a few times. Sadly the badass FL had to become passive due to on set accident. (How do I know these things?) Is #Hwarang longer too?

She made a big impact on me when I first saw her in #SecretGarden (a dated show, but I was hooked at the time!, where she plays a badass stunt woman), & in the powerful emotional epic #EmpressKi

I haven’t seen #Chocolate, but it’s a shame she didn’t star in more kdramas

I haven’t seen this drama, but I absolutely loved Ha Ji-won in #EmpressKi & #SecretGarden (where she plays truly boss characters!)

From the description this drama shows a much softer side of her though, which shows her range

Ha Ji-won is Empress Ki. She wears a golden crown, necklace and earrings. She wears a red robe decorated with more gold. She has her hair pulled back and red lipstick. She looks beautiful and regal.

#HaJiWon as Ki Seung-nyang in #EmpressKi. Mi reina. 👑 This one was easy. I spent 50 episodes watching her go from runaway slave from Goryeo to empress of Yuan, stealing the hearts of 2 kings, and winning the battle of palace intrigue.

Lots of political intrigue, betrayals and a satisfying revenge plot, amid side eyes, bitch slaps and some beautiful gowns. The love stories had me in my feelings. And shout out to the cliffhanger endings every episode! I can totally see why the show was so popular #EmpressKi.

Whew! Finished #EmpressKi, and what a ride that was. #HaJiwon was fantastic as the Empress caught between a brooding King of Goryeo played by #JooJinmo and a whiny Yuan emperor played by #JiChangwook.

One thing a #kdrama will force you to do is suspend belief. Because what do you mean that a guy falls off a cliff barely holding onto a newborn and he dies (obvs) but the baby, survives? #empresski
