Everyone knows I’m dead inside and dislike most romance #kdrama. So of course the drama that has become part of my fan DNA is #MyLovelySamSoon, and especially its fantastic female lead played by #KimSunA.
One of the funniest things about #MyLovelySamSoon was its attempt to convince us that #KimSunAh was overweight and unattractive.
She put on 20 pounds, had frizzy hair, wore no makeup, and dressed frumpy, but still didn’t make it to either “fat” or “ugly.”

I'm juggling #MyLovelySamSoon and #CityHall. Both oldies starring Kim Sun Ah as a quirky FL, with handsome men but ridiculous Chaebollox. Social morals were a lot looser than now? I love the way they keep mentioning Hyun Bin to her in City Hall.
But the noble idiocy in Sam Soon. Arrrggh.

Nota no IMDB é 8,0 e no MyDramalist é 7,9. Parece bom! Vi o primeiro ep e gostei.

Old dramas, especially before about 2015, were pretty open about sex. For example, the leads in #DaljasSpring live together, the FL in #MyLovelySamSoon sends the ML out to buy condoms, etc.

20 years ago today, on June 1, 2005, MBC aired the first episode of the kdrama #MyLovelySamSoon. A show about a slightly over-the-hill and overweight pastry chef finding love and in the process, finding herself went on to be one of the highest rated shows of all-time. A true classic.
