A banana slug devouring a small whitish mushroom

Along the hike, I saw a number of #mushrooms that were missing large chunks and I wondered what eats them. I found this #BananaSlug going to town on this one. Maybe that’s what gives them their mildly toxic slime? #BananaSlugClub

Late posting yesterday’s hike to the amazing Point Reyes National Seashore. I think I’ll call the hike the “Unforgettable Banana Slug hike” as there were Forget-Me-Nots and Banana Slugs practically the whole way. #hiking #bloomscrolling #bananaslugclub
