My 2nd @TheCCT visit to St. Peter’s at North #Barningham, Norfolk. A light, rather remote parish church & very peaceful. Tidy churchyard as others in CCT. Number of monuments & brasses. Unusual circular brick & stone design in nave floor. Another lovely church well cared for.

In this headlandless cereal sea, I admire the tenacity of the Cowslips that manage to cling on in the ditches.

The Roe Deer are unconcerned by my passing.

Catsear (Hypochaeris radicata), Goatsbeard (Tragopogon pratensis), candelabras of Beaked Hawksbeard (Crepis vesicaria) & the fragrance of supersize Pineappleweed (Matricaria discoidea) small respite from the cereal sea around #Barningham #WestSuffolk

An enchanting dell nr Barningham Church, Suffolk, looking fine in its nest of ancient Yews.
Some plants adorning the walls of #Barningham House, where Swallows swoop and lambs baa: Yellow corydalis (Pseudofumaria lutea), Ivy-leaved toadflax & Red valerian (Centranthus ruber) 7/9

Impressive Hop wall ascending on Green Lane. Lovely Alder stand in rare meadow nr #Barningham, content cows with sloppy lush spring grass outputs with Hawthorn petal garnish), Bullfinches pipe from hedge. A peek into how lovely this denuded part of Suffolk must've once been.

Narrow-leaved Vetch (Vicia sativa nigra)? learnt recently thanks to @SuffolkBIS.
My first wild roses of the spring, smiling into the evening sun. Could they be Southern Downy Rose (Rosa tomentosa) & Dog Rose (Rosa canina)?

Some good stands of Bush Vetch (Vicia sepium) on Stanton Rides under the Yellowhammer & Skylark song. Plus Cut-leaved Cranesbill (Geranium dissectum) & a fine display of Hedgerow Cranesbill.

The Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea) flowers, still in bud, afflicted by some sort of mildew, but the nearby Elderflowers (Sambucus nigra) are just fine, and getting into their stride. #MyWalk #Barningham #WestSuffolk #Suffolk #treeflowers #wildflowerhour @Britnatureguide @NatureUK 1/9
