Uneven pace & too many twists spoils but doesn't wreck #TV mystery-drama #BEACON23, set on a 'lighthouse' in deep space. #LenaHeadey saves it from developments that derail momentum & damages intrigue between characters. Season 1 cliffhanger ending feels annoying & sadly inept #SF.

Whilst I think #TheArk is a show with no real conflict, given every situation is easily resolved, #Beacon23 has what seems to be an almost opposite but related problem: it’s all conflict, all the time, but it’s so poorly motivated that it’s hard to care
