trying to figure out if I can give Beanie back her toys today or if I should wait until tomorrow. Today is 2 weeks post her spay-surgery *exactly* and it's been hard to keep her settled the last 3 days. she's been running in the apartment and I think she's ok?

really hating the vet's office for not giving me meds to help keep Bean calm because the last three days have been yelling at my idiot cat to stop running around or she's going to hurt herself and trying to restrain her in some fashion until she chills out.

Took Beanie to the vet for her spay and I got a call a short while ago that she's doing fine (🥹😭). concentrating on work until her pickup time is hard. my poor sweet baby!
they noticed that her liver enzymes were a little high so we're going to check on that in 3 months.

I decided to get Bean some zoot suits for her spay recovery since she is sometimes a Donkus & doesn't drink right out of her fountain so the suit will allow her to drink while also keeping from being a hindrance to her own recovery. can't wait to share pre-surgery pics this weekend

My cat is in my lap, comfy-fied, and even though the past three months have been hard on both of us, the fact that she has snuggled with me every night (and when she is feeling sleepy but wants company) is one of the best feelings in the world.

Day two of comforting my cat now that I understand she doesn't feel good. Being more intentional about giving her cuddles because she still doesn't really know how to ask for them, despite me trying to train her to 'ask.' We'll work on that when she feels a little better.

Two days in a row, Bean has woken me up at 3 and 4AM doing her version of yowling/crying because, for some fucking reason, she thinks I'll just watch her eat. I did my best to ignore her but when you're sleep-deprived, 40-minutes is the most you can stomach.
