At a time when #GreatBritain faced no danger of food shortages while #India was in dire need of food imports, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1943 the vicious imperialist PM #WinstonChurchill ordered Indian Ocean shipping cut by 56%. The #BengalFamine was the result, with 3 million dead.

​To add to the list: his policies actively contributed to the 1943 Bengal Famine, which killed 3 million people.

​He diverted food to British stockpiles while blaming the victims for "breeding like rabbits."

This is a core part of his legacy.
