This week Iβm waxing explanatory aboutβ¦ wax. Epicuticular wax is a mixture of dozens of diverse hydrocarbon chains or rings secreted to the plantβs outer surfaces. When secreted in quantity, the #wax is visible, as on the underside of Berberis gracilipes leaflets. #Berberidaceae #Botany πΎπ§ͺπ±
