Veilguard CC. Middle-aged human fem with her head slightly turned to the side. Her hair is still as wavy as it was when she was younger, but now cut into a more practical short bob. She wears a pair of tan oiled canvas pants tucked into boots rolled down to just below the knee, a loose white short-sleeved tunic with a deep, red-trimmed cut. At her waist is a very dark plum sash, and several small knives hanging off leather belts. Over her shoulders is an elbow-length poncho fastened with a clasp at the collar. It's blue with silver trim on the edges and two silver triangles at the clasp. She's unarmored except for small pauldrons, the one on her right arm just tan leather that drapes down to just above the elbow, and the one on the left made of a silvery metal with tan leather padding and fastening to the poncho. On her back is a red staff with a golden coil winding to the top ornament, a gold circle with rays like sunshine. Peeking from under her sleeves we can see a lyrium-tinted light blue tattoo of a wing on each arm, one for her missing brother and sister each.
First is this picture. The outfit isn't correct but I think that together with her features the color scheme is close enough that you'd know who this is even without the staff with the shining sun. (A bit on the nose, but it was a gift from Varric.)

Bethany de Riva (Hawke is her maiden name), not-quite-final Veilguard version. Bethany stands in a field of rubble, with some lavender-pink sky and light clouds visible toward the upper left. She's clad in a white or pale blue dress shirt that's modestly unbuttoned at the top, its sleeves rolled up to her elbows. The bared forearm reveals part of a faint blue lyrium-tinted tattoo of a feathered wing. The other arm is hidden behind her as she stands about a quarter turn to the camera, but there's another wing on it, too, one for each of her siblings. The view is cut off at the upper thigh, but we see some dark blue trousers, and a very tall waist guard in dark brown leather with silky red trim and steel hardware. Canonically 41 at the time Veilguard begins, Bethany has a comfortably fuller figure but has lost some of the stylized softness of youth. In contrast to her sister, a spitting image of their fater, the much clearer resemblance to her mother — the more square face and the slightly pursed lips, especially — is still there (or so one hopes). Gone are the long wavy locks, too, shortened to a slightly tighter-curling practical bob.

The originally planned version based on my fic lore, a mature, confident Bethany in a flattering white dress shirt left modestly unbuttoned at the top, blue trousers and a tall brown leather belt with red trimming. The colors are reminiscent of her DA2 dress, but the wavy tresses are shortened to a bob, and she has lyrium-tinted tattoos visible on each arm where the shirt sleeves are neatly rolled up — it's hard to make out in such small detail, but she has a wing on each arm stretching from shoulder to almost the wrist, one for her sister and the other for her twin brother.
Identical to the previous image, except with a considerably softened, fuller figure.
