He forgot the #linguistics and #biblicalgreek tags again.
In November, Rachel & Mike Aubrey presented ongoing research on Greek prepositions at SBL 2025 in Boston.
Today they're making the notes & slides available for your reading pleasure. Below are the details of our presentation, our slides, and then the abstract.

Bel & the Dragon 3
Now there was an idol, named Bel, that the Babylonians worshiped. And there was lavished upon it each day the finest wheat flour, twelve artabas of flour, and four sheep, and six measures of olive oil.

I was finally able to confirm with a friend at Logos that mine and Rachel's manuscript for the 2nd edition of Greek Prepositions in the New Testament was acquired by Baker from Lexham/Logos, but we're still waiting to hear from Baker about what's happening with it. #biblicalgreek
Force is ubiquitous in everyday life. We act and are acted on by causal sequences that require the exertion of force. Typical force interactions shape our inferences about the world and how we communicate in language. 1/#

Edith Claflin's work on voice and aspect in Greek and Latin should have been part of the linguistics foundation we all have been building on, yet you rarely find her cited.

Here's a rough off-the-cuff blogpost draft:
Spending time working on Greek grammar resources for Bible translation often requires spending time in commentaries because I need to know what things translation teams are going to be seeing when it comes to grammar.

Recently I’ve been going deep on essays from my late doktorvater, Charles H Talbert. Such a great scholar, and a wonderful mentor.
Now reading: “Paul, Judaism, and the Revisionists.”

Things have been really quiet lately at Koine-Greek.com, because ... reasons. I'll talk about those soon. But I am working on some new pedagogy material for teaching (and learning) Greek prepositions. #biblicalgreek

Rob Crellin's The Syntax and Semantics of the perfect Active in Literary Koine Greek is one of the most important books on the Greek perfect in 30 years. It's a hard read for biblical scholars (formal semantics & generative grammar), but it's full of insight and compelling analysis. #biblicalgreek
Need to remember to put #biblicalgreek on these when I post them for @koine-greek.com.
It's interesting we pluralize some words in verses that are singular in the Greek. It subtly & barely shifts the meaning of the texts. Not sure that it really ends up mattering in praxis, but interesting nonetheless.

We could repeat this for basically every Greek prepositions.
