A photo of a male Anna's hummingbird (Calypte anna), a very small bird with a long thin black beak, pale gray chest and belly, iridescent green back, and bright iridescent reddish-purple head and throat. It is perched on the end of a bare brown branch looking very like a bird on a stick, with snowflakes swirling all around it in diffuse, cloudy lighting, and a few small flakes that have settled on its head visible.
I've taken pictures of birds in the snow on literally one day in my life, I'm afraid, so you have to see this hummingbird a lot. #BirdOfTheDay #snowy 📷🌿🪶
