A colour photography - taken at around two hours after low tide - of Birnbeck Pier, now that work has started on its reconstruction. Scaffolding and planking is being installed and when done, I imagine, that the pier's debris will be recovered from the pebble beach. Flat Holm and Steep Holm sit out in the Bristol Channel, under a light pastel blue, though cloudy, sky.

This is a photograph of five different paintings of the same pier. They were all painted on the 27th of August 2025 from the hillside that is near this pier. They are all done pretty loosely. The pair has been condemned for a long time. Still remains a focal point in the landscape/ seascape.

As I was taking this photograph I saw a man appear, top left of frame, up on the rocky outcrop and he was looking out to sea. So he became the focal point.
