A lone tree stands dramatically on a small hill overlooking the sea on the NE of Scotland. Ormand Castle no longer exists as the stones were taken to build Fort George on the other side of the estuary.

Have been tracking this lone tree over many years at the ruins of Ormand Castle that overlooks Avoch on the #BlackIsle.
A particularly scenic walk through woodland to reach this place.
One of my happy places in #Scotland for many reasons.

The last Billy goat that liked to hang out with the cows in Munlochy Bay.
Colin owned the goats and various other animals.
He was in charge of the Rosehaugh Estate.
A lovely man.
He and his wife Jane.
