This particular day I was out bass fishing which I also love to do. Catch and release, just for fun! I don’t use a fish finder. I just look for the birds to find the fish 🤣I only started wildlife photography since 2023. I’m enjoying my new hobby!

Nest high on a tree. There is a chick with short plumage. A bigger bird is next to the chick. The parent shows longer white and great plumage. Both of them have yellowish eyes.

Budd Inlet at low tide. As seen from the Fourth Avenue Bridge in Olympia. The blue heron rookery left of the abandoned train tracks reflects the sky in a pool of water. Herons love to fish in these conditions. I have watched as many as a dozen gathered all at once. The main body of Budd Inlet is blue. As is the sky. With some lovely clouds in the distance.
