When will politicians like #EdMiliband and #LouiseGittins realise that #HyNet, #BlueHydrogen and #CCS are false solutions that'll worsen the climate crisis? They're buying a fossil fuel industry lie and paying for it with billions of pounds of public money.
Here's #EETFuels pushing its gas to hydrogen #Greenwash at a sustainability event. Louise Gittins said "we can't wait for perfect technologies". We can't afford to use the wrong technologies either. The only thing #BlueHydrogen and #CCS are sustaining is the fossil fuel industry.
Plans for a gas pipeline to supply #Stanlow as part of the #HyNetNW #BlueHydrogen scheme have been pulled because the pipeline route needs to be altered. Building new fossil fuel infrastructure to produce dirty blue H₂ in a climate crisis is totally crazy.

#LNG is another wolf in green clothing. America exports LNG produced from fracked gas to the UK which will likely find its way into the #BlueHydrogen supply chain. Upstream methane emissions are entirely ignored by the fossil fuel industry when it hypes 'low carbon' solutions like LNG and #BlueH2.
CF Industries has launched a carbon capture facility in Louisiana, aiming to transport and sequester up to 2 million metric tons of CO2 annually, partnering with ExxonMobil.
