Massive congrats to #EETFuels and #Stanlow on being awarded European Refinery of the Year for driving the #EnergyTransition and #Sustainability by:
🛢️ Recommissioning a 100,000m³ crude oil storage tank
⛽ Opening new #Essar petrol stations to sell more fossil fuels
Bravo 👏
While #EETFuels (Essar Energy Transition) keeps on crowing about #TransformingForTomorrow and #Sustainability, it keeps on expanding its consumer network. The #BlueHydrogen it'll produce at #Stanlow will power its refinery so it can sell more fossil fuels in a climate crisis.
🔍 Watch: @recommon.org exposes the government‑funded #BlueHydrogen & #CCS scam peddled by HyNet, Essar Energy Transition + ENI at #Stanlow. CCS is dangerous, expensive, energy‑intensive + does not work! @andy-rowell.bsky.social @hynotnw.bsky.social

Excellent work by @recommon.org exposing the government funded #BlueHydrogen and #CCS scam being peddled by #HyNet, #EETFuels and #Eni at #Stanlow. CCS is dangerous, expensive, energy intensive and unproven at scale. Shout out to @carolynthomasms.bsky.social.

Here's #EETFuels driving the low carbon #EnergyTransition by recommissioning a 100,000m³ crude oil storage tank to maximise capacity at its #Stanlow #LowCarbonRefinery. Yes, you read that right.
The fossil fuel industry is #Greenwashing the piss out of the public and the planet.
Plans for a gas pipeline to supply #Stanlow as part of the #HyNetNW #BlueHydrogen scheme have been pulled because the pipeline route needs to be altered. Building new fossil fuel infrastructure to produce dirty blue H₂ in a climate crisis is totally crazy.
Here's #Stanlow owner #EETFuels celebrating its highest domestic sales month ever. The same EET that continues expanding its network to sell even more fossil fuels. The same EET that keeps flexing about #TransformingForTomorrow.
Don't be fossil fooled by its #Greenwash.
The falsity and the reality.
#Essar doesn't care about nature. It keeps on #Greenwashing and pretending #Stanlow will become the world's first decarbonised refinery while it keeps on pumping and dumping pollution into the environment.
The fossil fuel industry is lying to you.

Weak sunlight casts subtle rays down onto the river. The airport gantry system can be seen silhouetted in the foreground with a few shrubs and tress. Reflections shimmer on the still rivers surface.

This week Theatre Porto introduced me to Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark's gothic hymn to Stanlow, their local oil refinery in refinery in Ellesmere Port.
And what a recording this is with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
