Challenge launched against HyNet carbon capture development Campaign group HyNot has filed a legal claim challenging the development of the HyNet carbon capture and storage facility in the North West of England.

We're taking the #DepartmentForEnergySecurityAndNetZero and the #NorthSeaTransitionAuthority to court. We believe their decision to allow the #HyNet #CCS scheme in #LiverpoolBay failed to:

• Assess major accidents risk
• Comply with marine conservation regulations
• Assess climate change impact

At one point in Liverpool Bay, there is a 3-way groyne. One arm reaches back to the promenade, one runs parallel to the prom and the other reaches out into the bay. Fascinating structures.
