My kitchen smells so good! I roasted all kinds of veggies, baked bread and am making soup with lots of herbs. I roasted a whole butternut squash, cut up into pieces. This is my lunch: butternut squash with a drizzle of maple syrup. So yummy!

Our photo shows a freshly made home-cooked Philly cheesesteak sandwich laid open on a baking tray, just out of the oven.

The sandwich is made with four long sections of crusty white bread, each piece split open and arranged side-by-side on a sheet of slightly crinkled baking parchment.

The parchment sits on a dark metal oven tray, suggesting the sandwiches have just been baked or toasted.

Each piece of bread is generously piled with thinly sliced, browned beef steak that looks tender and slightly crispy at the edges. Mixed among the meat are soft, caramelised onions, their golden-brown strands glistening from cooking.

On top of the meat and onions is a thick layer of melted cheese, a mix of pale white and warm yellow. The cheese has melted into the beef, forming stretchy, glossy patches that cling to the meat and drip slightly into the bread.

In some spots it has lightly bubbled and browned, giving a toasted, appetising texture.

The bread itself looks lightly toasted, with crisp edges and a soft interior that has soaked up some of the juices from the meat and onions. The fillings are piled generously, almost overflowing the bread.

The background is dark, likely a stovetop or kitchen counter, which makes the sandwiches stand out brightly in the foreground.

The overall feeling of the image is warm and hearty, like a tray of rich, freshly baked cheesesteaks ready to be served straight from the kitchen.

Finally, our picture is finished with a simple white border frame.

A picture is a dish native to the Dominican Republic called habichuela con dulce.

There is no smell quite like a pot of Habichuelas con Dulce simmering on the stove. 🇩🇴✨

The creamy beans, the cinnamon, the batata, and—most importantly—an aggressive amount of galletitas de leche. It’s officially that time of year! 🥣 🍪

Our picture shows a freshly baked, home-made lasagne resting on a dark kitchen countertop. The lasagne sits in a rectangular, silver metal roasting tray with sturdy handles on each side.

The tray is positioned slightly at an angle, allowing you to see both the top and one of the short sides.

The top of the lasagne is richly golden and deeply textured. The melted cheese has bubbled up and settled into an uneven surface, with patches ranging from creamy yellow to deep amber and toasted brown.

Some spots are darker and crispier, suggesting perfectly caramelised cheese. The surface looks slightly blistered and glossy, as though it has just come out of the oven and is still warm.

You can imagine the cheese stretching if a slice were lifted. Along the edges, the layers are just visible beneath the browned top, hints of pasta sheets, creamy sauce, and possibly minced meat and tomato sauce tucked between them.

The corners appear slightly darker and crispier, where the cheese has caught the most heat.

The countertop beneath is a dark, speckled surface, providing contrast to the warm, glowing tones of the lasagne. In the softly lit background, there are faint shapes of kitchen items, a utensil holder and a bowl but they are out of focus.

The lighting is warm and low, casting gentle shadows and giving the lasagne a comforting, homely feel.

Overall, the image conveys warmth, comfort, and the inviting aroma of a hearty, freshly baked meal ready to be served.

If I’m required to attend a Super Bowl party…I make food to represent the teams and this year the location of the bowl.

Sandwiches from Boston, Seattle and San Francisco.

The Seattle Sandwich (Paseo featuring Mojo Pork) was the crowd favorite.

Our photograph shows a deep, round dish of homemade macaroni and cheese resting on a dark kitchen countertop.

The dish itself appears to be a heavy, black cast-iron or enamelled pot with two short handles on either side. It is filled right to the rim, and the edges are slightly splashed and baked-on, suggesting it has just come out of the oven.

On top, the macaroni and cheese has a thick, golden-brown crust, likely made from toasted breadcrumbs and cheese.

The surface is uneven and textured, with darker toasted patches mixed with lighter golden areas. Small flecks of fresh green parsley, are scattered across the top, adding contrast to the warm, creamy colours.

Beneath the crust, the cheese sauce looks rich and bubbling, with a glossy sheen visible around the edges where the sauce meets the dish. The pasta underneath is implied by the gentle rise and dips in the surface rather than clearly visible.

The setting is a home kitchen, softly lit with warm, yellow-toned light. In the background, slightly out of focus, are kitchen items such as bowls and what looks like a cooker or countertop appliance, reinforcing the sense that this is freshly cooked comfort food at home.

Overall, the image conveys warmth, comfort, and abundance. A hearty, homemade meal prepared in an Irish kitchen, inviting and ready to be served.
