Last September, our #BostonAndBeyond project restored two ponds at Jenny’s Wood—and just months later they’re thriving! Teeming with life and already home to frogspawn.

Students learned how to support #amphibians & #reptiles & built mini wildlife gardens from LEGO!
Excitingly, a new pond has been marked out in the walled garden. We’ll be back soon to dig it!

Staff & pupils worked with our #BostonAndBeyond team to line & plant their new wildlife pond.

Over the past few weeks, our #BostonAndBeyond team have been inspiring Cubs, Beavers & Scouts to support native #amphibians and #reptiles.
Using LEGO wildlife gardens, young environmentalists explored how ponds, log piles & hibernacula can make a real difference at home.
Our #BostonAndBeyond project joined the Boston Voluntary Sector Forum recently.
They shared plans for pond creation, restoration & learning opportunities, and connected with local charities.
Winter may seem quiet, but nature is still there.

In her first weeks at Froglife she’s been visiting project sites, including RSPB Frampton Marsh, seeing newly created ponds that support amphibians & other wildlife.
Our #BostonAndBeyond team spent the morning at The Communitygrowers CIC, & what a brilliant session it was!
Together they dug out a wildlife pond for their children’s wellbeing garden - creating another vital habitat to support reptiles & amphibians.
They were even lucky enough to spot a frog!
Celebrating International Men’s Day on 19th Nov!
Our #BostonandBeyond team joined BroProUK and Community Connector, Boston UK, at The Len Medlock Voluntary Centre to explore how we can welcome wildlife into our gardens and green spaces.
To finish the session, everyone made DIY birdfeeders.

Autumn is perfect for putting them up. Many birds roost in bird boxes to keep warm over the colder months.
