At Botany Bay, Vancouver Island. Driftwood logs at the bottom of the image. From them, a gravelly sand beach leads down to a tongue of water. On the left of the bay is dark stone. On the right, similar stone reaches out into the ocean, topped by a small hill covered with tall evergreens. In the distance, across the water can be seen the mountains of Washington's Olympic Peninsula.
