Yesterday. ✨ #brandoncountrypark #norfolk #fungi
Some flavours of #BrandonCountryPark Purple Walk: Heather (how I wish I could share the warm, honey scent), Harebell (held still by my daughter), Wood Small-reed (Calamgrostis epigeios) and (I think?) Sand Sedge (Carex arenaria).

Woodlark active again on #BrandonCountryPark Heath, but in terms of sound track, the wind - & hail - were too much even for the usually indefatigable Skylarks. The Beeches have it right showing not the slightest hint of spring. #MyWalk

Amazing flock of Chaffinch, Redpoll, Siskin, Yellowhammer & Reed Bunting, only 1-5 of each spp.
Mixed flocks were a bit of a theme today. Was admiring the gorgeous eyestripe of a Woodlark when it was joined by a Yellowhammer pair, a Stonechat looking on. #BrandonCountryPark 2/2
A couple of pairs of Woodlarks calling to each other on the heath at #BrandonCountryPark, but they were largely leaving the airwaves clear for the Skylarks who were heartily making use of them.
