My current on-the-train book. Anyone read this series? I read the first 8 or 9 back in the '90s, but now there are 17 books in the Necroscope saga, so I'm starting fresh. Lumley broke a lot of new ground with vampires.

After 13 books of fighting the Wamphyri it seemed appropriate for there to be something new to fight agents. At first I thought aliens was an odd chose that wouldn’t fit. But as has comes so common whenever I doubt Brian Lumley, I was proven happily wrong.

I didn't realize #BrianLumley passed away in the beginning of this year. I really enjoyed his #FruitingBodies (a book gifted to me years ago by a dear friend who is also no longer with us) and regret that now I will never get to ask him a burning question I had about one of the stories therein. #RIP
