Just heard from the surgeon and no complications! He said the new heart is strong and Abba did well!!

He'll stay sedated and intubated in the Cardiac ICU overnight and they'll try to have him awake by some time tomorrow.

What a relief!!!!

Abba's in the OR. Surgery should take about 8 hours (they have to remove the LVAD first, and then do the transplant). Fingers crossed. 🤞🏽

They'll reverse Abba's sedation and intubation in the AM, with discharge hopefully Saturday.
