colorful abstract expressionist painting featuring broad, rough brushstrokes and many overlapping layers of translucent color. Although there are some muted tones such as forest green and deep sea bluegray, they are overlapped and outnumbered by brighter splotches of red, blue and yellow, and a canvas length vertical arcing stripe of spring green. The overall effect is dynamic and cheerful color.

Abstract expressionist, landscape-oriented painting containing a rainbow of colors from bright to dark. The overall impression is of the viewer confronting a miasma of differently colored fogs standing between them and a light blue background. These rainbow fogs are punctured by a few small light blue gaps, as if offering a glimpse of the background behind. Another darker gap to the lower right appears like a menacing sphincter or circle of blurred fangs in a field of bright orange, and the suggestions of other such “misleading” gaps in the multicolored field of fog peek in from around the outer edges. The largest skyblue gap in the colorful miasma is in the upper left, where there is the faint suggestion of one edge of a stone archway and—recessed within it—the vertical slats of a wooden door. This tantalizing suggestion of an escape route is cut off by the left edge of the frame as well as cut off from the viewer by many layers of fog.

Multicolored patches of paint applied in vertical streaks and layered one upon the other create the impression of a blurry cityscape, clumps of blocky color rising like a cluster of crystals as seen through misty eyes, in shades across the whole visible spectrum. Furthering the illusion of a misty cityscape, the distant background at the top of the frame is painted in vertical streaks evoking sky blue and white cloud, with the suggestion of a central point of yellow white light emanating from behind a distant, rectangular, magenta structure: like a rising or setting sun behind a colorful skyline.

on a near-square rectangular canvas, slightly taller than it is wide, bright strips of color alternate and interpenetrate, suggesting a dreamy scene involving architectural and human elements. The central element is a vertical purple patch with a sloped top and green vertical stripe accent evoking a door or open doorway. Pinks, reds, yellows, greens and blues suggest other architectural elements or shadows, and a dark blue patch in the lower left corner suggests a humanoid figure looking in to the scene, perhaps seated or crouched.
