The Bucca Dhu hails from a semi-aquatic race of Fae, but he is so twisted and evil, even his own people have shunned him. He delights in tormenting and eating little children, and he hides out in the Old Hackmore Place in Wyrdham (the titular "Haunted House" from the original "Summer's End"). He uses the Hackmore Place as a kind of "way station" between all universes, accessing different worlds through the closets and the basement. Numerous children in Wyrdham have gone missing over the years, daring each other to enter the Hackmore Place and never coming back out. This year, the trick-or-treaters Skull, Bones and Deadpan decide they've had enough of this, and they're going to "Beat Down the Boogeyman" so children will never have to fear him again.
