Always a good time to be back in Houston where I had the chance to present some of my work on Ultra-Rapid ddPCR from the @giladevrony lab (in collaboration with @DanOrringerMD) at #CNS2024. I did forget about Houston's 90+ degree October heat though 😅

Levine Lab reuniting at #cns2024.

Proud of them all esp recently tenured Daniela Palombo (UBC), Signy Sheldon (McGill), Peggy St Jacques (U Alberta), and Louis Renoult (U East Anglia)! And grateful to Don Stuss and Endel Tulving who opened the doors to cognitive neuroscience a quarter century ago.

I'm counting 13 posts with #cns2024 on BlueSky in the last day. Twitter has 22 in the last HOUR. I really wish BlueSky had taken over as the dominant site. I mean come on - it's free and is without the Musk factor. Inertia is a powerful thing, I guess

I am excited to attend #CNS2024 this year. I will be presenting a poster that investigates how navigation and episodic memory in 8-13 year olds and young adults relates to hippocampal subfield volumes. If you're here, please stop by poster E80 from 2:30-4:30 on Monday afternoon and say hi.

Our poster for the Cognitive Neuroscience Society meeting 2024. We conducted a novel task where subjects both track moving discs and remember shown colors. We find that the contralateral delay activity (CDA) is driven by the number of moving discs, rather than the color load.

Piotr @styrkowiec.bsky.social will be presenting our work on the CDA in a novel dual #workingmemory and object tracking task, Tuesday morning at #CNS2024. We find that the CDA is dominated by the number of moving targets, not the load of to-be-remembered colors www.cogneurosociety.org/poster/?id=650
