Robin Hood Line CRP supported 12 students, previously at risk of dropping out of education/employment, to learn fabrication & welding in an authentic workshop environment. They created a 'mammoth' sculpture which now sits proudly at Creswell Station π¦£

The Friends of Hindley Station have worked with schools, colleges, universities and youth organisations consistently for the past 17 years, on projects ranging from history boards and community events to fundraising and Platforms for Change πΈ

As part of a programme empowering young people to drive social change, Grays Convent School proposed the installation of eco-friendly sanitary product machines across c2c's network, to tackle period poverty and make stations more inclusive π

Informed by youth travel surveys which revealed feelings of confusion and anxiety about train travel, Gloucestershire CRP empowered young people to shape a new resource, simplifying sustainability concepts, providing safety tips and boosting travel confidence π₯

To combat anti-social behaviour at Lidlington Station, Marston Vale CRP ran workshops to engage 13β17-year-olds in meaningful activities including cooking, sports and art, establishing the station as a safe, community space for local young people π

#CommunityRail Cumbria engaged local children - many with challenging home lives - to create a vibrant mural on the fence at Flimby Station. The young people took a lead on the design, learnt new skills and expressed themselves through art ποΈ

In 2023-24, Bishop Line CRP visited 22 schools and engaged 3,791 young people, delivering 98 interactive workshops and #TryTheTrain trips to raise awareness of the dangers of trespassing, improve rail safety knowledge and boost travel confidence π©βπΌ
