Between the start and end of the two words is a single maple leaf. Nearer the center at the top is the word meat and below the center is the word viande. That is the French word for meat.
Looking through an old loose tobacco tin and came across a #WWII Canadian military ration token.
Amazing to hold this and think of similar ones in my grampa would have had in his pocket when fighting in Europe against the Nazis.
