Beautiful arch with sun star beneath the top of the underside of the arch and some lovely orange light underneath. Also blue skies above and incredible scenery beyond. Peaceful and glorious.
Same scene about 30 minutes earlier with a bunch of Middle Ages photographers standing shoulder to shoulder and tripod to tripod, waiting for sunrise. No chance for a shot until they’d headed off, about 5 minutes after sunrise, allowing to have the place to myself as in the previous shot.
Just been reminded of this - the difference a couple of minutes can make…
