Now that the water levels are dropping on the river Towy, I caught up with the whooper swans, 2 x black swans and located 5 x pink-footed geese amongst the greylags & canada. Goosanders, kingfisher and green sandpipers too.

Highlight was a male hen harrier and marsh harrier along Pembrey Burrows and a lovely walk back along the beach with thousands of oystercatchers and gulls at sunset. A beautiful 3 mile walk on a gorgeous day. Not many of them this month

Came across a manx shearwater stranded in a field this evening whilst I walked Lily & Tucker.@berniebeck.bsky.social was nearby with a box that he used to rescue it. Hopefully it will released soon & be able to head home to South America
