1897. Black history cannot be erased and it does not need white people's permission. #blackhistorymonth #marychurchterrell #cartergwoodson #blackpower #history

2.white background, red trim, 3tn logo and black text that says
For years, I've wanted to post a series about a topic I think is very important:
The Black Radical Tradition.
Initially, I wanted to do this for Black August, but that observance has been pulled too far from its prison abolition origins and I did not want to stretch it further. And if you've been with me for a while yknow why I haven't been able to consistently put out a project.

For this 100th year of Black History being observed and acknowledged (what was once a week is now a month), I wanted to add to Carter G Woodson's intention:

Spreading knowledge of black people's storied history of resistance, be it armed with ideology, weaponry, or communal dynamics. There may be a highlighted group but this series is about the collective radical actions, events, and strategies of the entire Black Diaspora, beyond well known heroes.
In a time of tumult, AI, and psuedo-history running wild, I hope you enjoy taking this trip with me into our shared heritage of resistance.

I'm doing a lil project I've wanted to do for years. I may be behind or late because of health stuff but i'll make it up! And I'll consolidate this each week or in March. HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH
