Laying of submarine cable for Celtic Interconnector A landmark moment was reached this week on the Celtic Interconnector project, as laying of the submarine cable commenced on the key energy project linking the electricity grids of Ireland and France.

Irish RTÉ (Raidió Teilifís Éireann) reporting on French RTÉ (Réseau de Transport d'Electricité) and the planned electrical umbilical cord between both countries that will carry nuclear-power-generated electricity to Ireland.
