Fittingly, Bob's fans from North Africa travelled to Galway for the occasion: 'The Atlantean Irish. Ireland's oriental and maritime heritage' book (2004) and a quartet of documentary films explore the many and varied links of Ireland to Moorish Spain and north Africa including Egypt.
