Rhone clones did well, but winner was '98 Reserve from Mont-Olivet (Dave brought). Delicious and in a perfect place, it dribbled flavorful fruit over the palate.

2003 Chateauneuf Reservée from Pegau
I've come to like the '99 better. It's fresher, better balanced. This 2003 is still very good, rich, lush, seductive. Don't drink it too warm, though; alcohol is not irrelevant. Probably about $60 these days, wasn't then! Still fine, but I see no point to holding this longer. #wine #chateauneuf
