Just finished #CharlesDickens - A Life by #ClaireTomalin & what a fantastic read it is... #Dickens was a great, if very flawed individual, but I was glad to read the #biography of a human being rather than of a demi-god (there's too many of those bestriding the world nowadays)...highly recommended.

Currently engrossed in an excellent #biography of #CharlesDickens by #ClaireTomalin. It grips you very quickly & is very apt for #Christmas; highly recommended.

Imagine being interested in the #underdog & the #dispossessed & yet being flawed yourself... life's difficult apparently... still...
