A beautiful cactus flower in bloom. It’s dark orange on the outside of the petals, light yellow inside. We’re looking straight down into the flower.

Echinocereus triglochidiatus is a species of hedgehog cactus known by several common names including kingcup cactus, claret cup cactus, red-flowered hedgehog cactus and Mojave mound cactus. So pretty! I saw this one while out west last summer. #ClaretCupCactus #FlowerBlooms #TinyJoys #TheDesert
