Nightblood's sheath is made out of aluminum. When unsheathed it's extremely overpowering, killing everything around it & the user itself.

This is a metaphor for body odor & Sanderson is 100% pro aluminum in deodorant to eliminate body odor.

I think all the stuff with Shallan and the Ghostbloods would hit harder if I liked Kelsier. So I have no conflicted feelings, I simply get annoyed when he's around and want to watch Shallan stab him.
