A branch of a tree I was unable to identify (I suspect it is a crabapple variety), carrying dark orange fruit, like tiny apples, and at the same time ruby-red thick flower buds. The young leaves in spring green and lemony yellow added to the beauty of it all.

We have several flowering fruit trees in the garden, but IMO opinion the most beautiful blossoms are the crabapples. Here in my #BayArea location they are at their height now.

I raise bees so pay attention to the flora they utilize. Our Crabapple tree is a favorite. Early in the season there are thousands of bees on it at any time and it’s abuzz. When someone comes over during this time kinda freaks them out.
