this 68 yr old Zorki-4 rangefinder just found its way to my doorstep all the way from Dnipro, Ukraine. Setting aside the musty Kruschev-era smell of shoeleather & proletarian glory, the shutter seems to fire properly, I think.
Maybe it works?

A Soviet made Zorki 4 rangefinder camera from 1957, equipped with a Jupiter 8 f2 50mm lens. I hope it works.

In a worrying sign that the fever that gripped me last summer when I first started digging through a box of inherited cameras is now going deeper, I have just acquired this Zorki 4, just to participate in the #crappycommiecamerachallenge .
Funds will go to a seller in eastern Ukraine.

My Lubitel 166U TLR camera on a tripod on the wooden surface of the Santa Monica Pier. Attached to it is a 5-stop ND (!) filter and a cable release.

lubitel + 5 stop nd + panoramic mask + fomapan 400 makes for an interesting #shittycamerachallenge. shooting with an effective iso of 12.5 is, um, different. next step, figuring out how the heck to scan these.
