Sleeplessness continues. Past 4.00 before I managed to get sleep. The pain level isn't high but it's irritating enough to prevent sleep. I'm starting to feel it now, too. Dry eyes, headache, fatigue.

I didn't have #Crohns when I had my first surgeries for abscesses. It was only 3 years ago, they were designated #CrohnsAbscesses following my new medical team knowing I had Crohns. Recovery time is longer, probably both due to age and #Type2Diabetes
I had several abscess surgeries in my 20s, then a 26-year hiatus. I've had 5 surgeries in the last 3 years, and recovery time is getting longer (6 months minimum). I have two, open sinuses, one was drained in hospital, the other arose after I left hospital. It's dire.

Struggling to sleep this week. The pain is keeping me up but I'm reluctant to take the painkillers (they can be addictive). In the end, it was around 4.00 a.m. before I drifted off after taking children's calpol.

I'm not sleeping well. Between pain, and bloodloss, I'm not sure which is having the most detrimental effect.

I had to take a taxi to the shops yesterday. I've been in so much pain ever since. If #ASDA hadn't lost my delivery this would not have been necessary. Needless to say, I haven't slept since yesterday because of said pain.

They don't have beds at my local hospital, only chairs. I've suggested bringing a sleeping bag and lying on the floor, but they won't allow it. The infusions really worked for me, so I want back on them, but it may be 6 months before my current wounds close up.

What is so frustrating is dismissal by friends, work colleages (who thought I took far too many sick days), & even my own family of my symptoms & suffering.
In October, I had my 13th surgery for #CrohnsAbscesses & still folks think it's just like having a bout of diarrhoea, & a diet could fix it.
Finally, I started infliximab infusions - absolutely brilliant - but had to stop because surgery for #CrohnsAbscesses left me with open wounds so I can't sit down to get to hospital (transport) or for the infusions (3hrs). So, back to square one.
Waiting to hear what's next.

One of my open wounds is giving me so much pain today. I'm back to taking painkillers.

I'll have to go to the GP tomorrow as it's been over a month since surgery & the wound is still opening, bleeding and bloody painful. It's impacting my ability to do day-to-day things. I need home nursing care again.
