Lovely views of this singing common sandpiper on patch at Borrans Park, Ambleside this morning. Other highlights included a low fly over osprey heading NW down the Rydal Valley and a total of 61 species!

A December Whimbrel near Brigsteer, Cumbria this morning was great to find #cumbriabirds. First time I've seen one in winter. 4 Whoopers were more expected in the valley.

Overdue patch tick in the form of a Cetti’s warbler at Borrans Park along the boardwalk west of the marsh. Still a rare bird in the Lake District!
Two wigeon on the river Rothay was my second patch record and the first noneflyover!

A Dunlin at Borrans Park this morning not often we get waders in the Lake District and especially not on the deck! Also a wigeon S & 5 whooper swans N.
Two patch ticks in 1 day taking me to 116!
